Dangerous Goods (DG)

DG IS hazardous commodities / substances which requires careful packaging, stowage planning and monitoring throughout the voyage, from load port till final destinations.
Some examples OF DG include explosives, corrosive liquids, flammable solids and poisonous liquids or gases. Carriage of hazardous commodities is restricted and controlled by the INTERNATIONAL MARITIME DANGEROUS GOODS CODE, most commonly known as IMDG code.
Shippers are required to provide the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for our DG desk for submission to the relevant authorities at load and destination ports.
PIL prohibits carriage of certain commodities that may be hazardous for the safety of life on board and the marine environment.
